GradeTap processes questions missed, points off, totals, and grade rules in your browser to show a result. The site does not ask for student names, and individual grade entries are not included in saved settings.

Browser storage

When browser storage is available, GradeTap saves valid grading settings on your device so they can be reused. Those settings include the grading method, totals, display precision, pass line, and letter-grade rules.

Clearing saved settings

You can remove saved settings at any time by clearing GradeTap's site data in your browser. This clears settings stored on your device; individual grade entries are not saved.

Hosting requests

GradeTap is hosted through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process routine request information, such as IP address, browser details, and request time, to deliver and secure the site.

Advertising and website analytics

The live site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage.

GradeTap displays Adsterra banners on tool and guide pages. Adsterra and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies and process routine request data, such as IP address, browser or device details, the page URL, and ad views or interactions, to deliver and measure ads. We do not include grading values in the ad configuration. See Adsterra’s privacy policy. Advertising is excluded from printed grade tables and downloadable PDFs.

Site analytics

We measure pages visited, broad referral sources, language, tool actions and active page time to improve the site. We use a random temporary identifier in the current tab. We do not collect student names, grades or values you enter, file contents or URL query parameters through these analytics.

We respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal.

There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for analytics records. Contact us below with questions or deletion requests. Cloudflare helps process these analytics. Other services are described separately on this page.

Voluntary support

Support GradeTap buttons load a Ko-fi script and cup icon plus a Google font supplied by Ko-fi. These requests can disclose routine request information to those providers. GradeTap does not send grading values or saved settings to the button. Selecting a button opens Ko-fi in a new tab, where Ko-fi handles payments and related information under its privacy policy. Support is optional and does not change access to the tools.
